DEODAR
ROOM DESCRIPTION
Built from a tree that fell due to lightening in Rajbhawan, Nainital in the 60s, the room still carries the scent of the "tree of the gods" and is named after it. As the story goes in Gethiya, as the tree fell, several Britishers reached the Rajbhawan to claim the tree. The son of Madam Durell, Edward, a stout gentleman, challenged everyone to an arm wrestling match and won! Well, to the victor, go the spoils, and here we are, in a room made of Deodar wood! The room has all wooden walls and floors and a separate annexe with stunning views of Nainital and Bhumiadhar. The annexe looks surreal at night.
